WORK ON TWO NEW FIRE STATIONS WILL GET UNDER WAY IN JANUARY
Full Description:
Colleyville is getting two new fire stations.
The city expects construction to begin in January on the Central Fire Station at 5209 Colleyville Blvd. and Fire Station 2 at 5212 Pool Road, City Manager Bill Lindley said. The central station will replace the Hall-Johnson Road station, which was too small and out of date, he said. It will cost about $2.1 million.
The Pool Road station is expected to cost about $1 million. The city will continue operations at the station at McDonwell School and Precinct Line roads, Lindley said. The new stations could open by midsummer.
