Colleyville is the first Texas city to compete in the prestigious America in Bloom (AIB) competition, a national beautification campaign. Colleyville will be competing against cities with similar populations in California, Florida, and Minnesota. The AIB judges, who will be in town April 30-May 1, will appraise community efforts in eight categories: tidiness, community involvement, urban forestry, heritage, floral displays, landscape, environmental awareness, and turf and ground cover areas.
The judges will be provided with a comprehensive tour, encompassing more than 80% of the city, of businesses and neighborhoods.
